Terms and Conditions Participant Agreement

The following contract details the agreements between Awakened Hearts Journeys (Larissa Riley) & The Awaken Path (Valerie Bottazzi LLC) and you with respect to your travel with us. Please read this document carefully as the deposit and payment for your trip constitutes consent to all conditions and provisions included.
Tour Costs and Inclusions
All tour costs are based upon the specified services in your customized itinerary as per the “Inclusions” section. Tour costs generally include accommodations; private sightseeing with local, English-speaking guides as specified in the itinerary; admission fees (unless otherwise specified); meals as indicated in detailed itinerary (B=breakfast, L=lunch, D=dinner); accommodation taxes and service charges; regional surface transportation; internal flights (if specified as included); airport, as specified; government fees and local handling charges; the full services of Awakened Hearts Journeys, The Awaken Path and our associate offices overseas before, during, and after your trip. Itemized cost breakdowns are not available. Please refer to the “Inclusions” section of your itinerary for detailed information regarding which services are included in your tour cost. All tour costs are in US dollars.
Quoted tour prices include extensive planning and operational charges as well as transmissions and teachings, during the tour by Shakti and Larissa, and are based on current rates of exchange, airfares, tariffs and taxes as of the date of full payment. Prices are valid for this specific tour only. We reserve the right to increase tour prices to cover increased costs, airfares, tariffs and taxes, and to reflect fluctuations in foreign exchange markets. Once you have paid your tour in full, there can be no increase to the amount you have paid.
Items Not Included
Unless otherwise specified in your detailed itinerary, international flights, private air charters, airport departure taxes, gratuities, laundry, alcoholic beverages, excess baggage charges, visa fees for visas obtained on arrival, travel insurance, tours indicated as optional or not specified in the itinerary, items of a personal nature, and any items not specifically listed as included, are not included.
Deposits & Payments
Regardless of your paying in full or in instalments,
~ for a double occupancy $2077 and,
~ for single occupancy $2511
is considered your non-refundable deposit.

The complement payment is due no later than July 21st, 2023. If booking on or after the July 21st, 2023, the entire tour cost must be paid at the time of booking. Payments can only be made through our secure on-line checkout cart which can be accessed through our sales page.
Cancellations & Refunds
All cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing. Your cancellation date will be the date we receive your notice. No verbal refund requests will be honoured. Deposits are non-refundable. Refunds of final payment will be honoured as follows
Before 21st July 2023 Loss of deposit
Between 21st July- 21st August 2023 50% refund of payment less the deposit
After 21st August - No Refund

Cancellation penalties and fees imposed by our suppliers may be additional and, if imposed, will be deducted from the above refunds, if any. No refunds will be made after commencement of your tour, whether for early termination, voluntary absence from the tour or for any unused services. Your decision not to travel due to State Department warnings, fear of travel, illness, or any other reason, will be deemed a cancellation. If a flight or other delay for any reason causes you to miss services, no refunds will be given. Please see our Limits on Responsibility elsewhere in these pages. Please allow eight weeks for administration of refunds
Transportation
International flight bookings are the responsibility of each tour participant themselves. Be sure to inform us of your flight number and arrival time. Internal air arrangements are confirmed on commercial or scheduled flights, unless otherwise specified. We cannot be held responsible for aircraft or seat assignment changes made by the airline. Note that regional flights overseas often will not accept advance seat requests.
Accommodations
Accommodation classification is based on a combination of factors including price, location and quality. In remote areas accommodation may be provided on a best available basis. Prices are based on double occupancy rooms with private bath facilities, unless otherwise requested or stated. Note that in many countries king beds and non-smoking rooms are not available. We reserve the right to substitute comparable accommodations without notice.
Passports and Visas
All tour participants must be in possession of a passport valid for six months from their date of arrival in any foreign country, you will also need to have multiple consecutive blank visa pages within your passport (the number varies depending on the destination(s)). It is the sole responsibility of the tour participant to secure a valid passport with sufficient blank pages for immigration and visa stamps. Our associate offices in Egypt will be aiding us in securing entry visas to Egypt on arrival. Current cost of visa for Egypt is $25 please have this amount in cash on arrival.
Health and Physical Condition
Participants are understood to be in sufficient good health to undertake foreign travel. We request that all tour participants notify us in writing as early as possible of any physical or health conditions or other special needs. We require all participants to fill out the form regarding any physical needs, food intolerances and any allergies to reach us no later than 30 September 2023.
Medical Costs and Insurance
Travel insurance, medical evacuation and hospitalization costs are not included in the tour price. We shall not be responsible for any injuries, losses or damages in connection with accommodations, other facilities at the accommodation, ground transportation, diseases, local laws, climatic conditions, Acts of God, delays, changes or cancellation of travel due to weather conditions, accidents or health related problems during a tour or retreat and while in-transit to (e.g., an accident on the way to a tour), during, and after a tour, unless such injuries, losses or damages are due to the negligence or wilful misconduct of Awakened Hearts Journeys, The Awaken Path and our staff.
It is the traveller’s responsibility to obtain appropriate travel insurance coverage against these risks, it is compulsory that you do this if you wish to travel with us.
If travel plans are delayed or cancelled for any reason there will be no refunds issued by Awakened Hearts Journeys/The Awaken Path except as stated herein.
Awakened Hearts Journeys/The Awaken Path are not responsible for expenses incurred in preparation for any cancelled trips by a guest such as airline tickets or for costs incurred due to travel delays, flight cancellation or illness.

Cancellation by Awakened Hearts Journeys/The Awaken Path
Awakened Hearts Journeys/The Awaken Path will do its utmost to never cancel a tour or retreat, but if for some unforeseen reason we were to ever cancel a retreat or tour, your payment will be refunded in full.

Cancellation by Client
Cancellations are possible for you or any member of your party at any time. Written notification is mandatory in order for a cancellation to be effective. The cancellation will take effect from the date that written notification from the person who made the booking is received at our offices/via email. We recommend that you use recorded delivery/read receipt.
Any cancellation will incur a 10% administrative charge to reflect the reasonable costs incurred by us in arranging and cancelling your booking in addition to financial costs already incurred upon due to credit card terms.
Charges for cancellation after the balance due date will vary due to the complex nature of our travel itineraries.
*Please note, the costs of many internal flights are non-refundable.
The full costs of cancellation will be communicated to you at the point of cancellation.
We have prepared the following cancelation charges below as a guide only, and these are subject to variation.
(The cancellation charge detailed will be calculated on the basis of the total cost payable by the person(s) cancelling excluding amendment charges which are not refundable in the event of the person(s) to whom they apply cancelling.):-

Please note, flight cancellation charges will be applicable in addition to the cancellation fees outlined above.
Flight cancellation fees are set by our flight agents and the airline concerned and the Company will follow these rules. We strongly recommend that you to take out insurance against irrecoverable cancellation costs.

Limits on Responsibility
All participants should be prepared for unexpected changes in the itinerary, and should arrive with a flexible attitude toward their visit and with the understanding that it is impossible to control, foresee, or guarantee all aspects of the tour.
Tour members are participants in group travel and are expected to hold each other in compassionate regard, and to interact with each other with respect.
Payment partially or in full constitutes consent to all provisions of this Agreement as set forth herein.
